Medical Coder (Remote Professional Contract)

As a Medical Coder (Remote Professional Contract) with AnyHired ($20 - $32/hour, 100% remote), you will play a direct role in shaping how next-generation AI systems reason through complex problems in CPT, ICD-10, AAPC Certification, Outpatient Coding. This contract offers flexible remote scheduling for qualified professionals across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.

Role Deliverables

• Demonstrated professional or academic background in CPT, ICD-10, AAPC Certification, Outpatient Coding, HCPCS.
• Strong analytical reasoning and ability to articulate complex concepts clearly in written English.
• High attention to detail when reviewing technical or domain-specific documentation.
• Self-motivated and reliable within an asynchronous remote work environment.
• Annotate and review outpatient medical records (physician office, clinic, ambulatory surgery, and hospital outpatient encounters), ensuring accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes based on documentation.
• Apply Evaluation & Management (E&M) leveling to outpatient visits using official guidelines (medical decision making or total time) to validate and enrich datasets.
• Apply outpatient-specific coding conventions, including diagnosis coding guidelines for outpatient services, modifier usage, medical necessity, and linking diagnoses to procedures.

• Active AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required.

• Hands-on experience coding in outpatient settings (e.g., primary care, specialty clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, outpatient hospital departments).
