As a Remote Mechanical Engineering Specialist — Distributed Technical Practice with AnyHired ($80 - $150/hour, 100% remote), you will play a direct role in shaping how next-generation AI systems reason through complex problems in Python, Mechanical Engineering. This contract offers flexible remote scheduling for qualified professionals across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.

Role Deliverables

• An MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline; or
• A BS in Mechanical Engineering plus at least 1–2 years of relevant professional experience in mechanical design, analysis, simulation, testing, or R&D.
• Strong understanding of applied mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals.
• Experience developing analytical, computational, or simulation-based engineering solutions.
• Practical proficiency with Python and coding agents.
• Relevant tools may include CalculiX, Gmsh, Elmer, FEniCSx, CadQuery, OpenSCAD, OpenFOAM, or similar programmatic engineering software. Experience with an equivalent CLI-accessible tool is acceptable.
• Relevant Python tools may include NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, CAD or meshing APIs, finite-element libraries, optimization packages, or domain-specific scientific tools. No single library is mandatory.
